ACCESS Car Rental at Adelaide Airport

Access Rent A Car has two locations, one at Adelaide Airport, Andy Thomas Circuit, SA 5950, and one at West Hindmarsh, about 10 minutes' drive from the airport and city. Both depots are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. The West Hindmarsh depot is located at 464 Port Road, SA5007 (tel +61 8 8340 0400). Offices are closed on Sunday, and open on Saturdays from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm only.

The Access fleet offers customers Compact SUV's like the Suzuki Vitara or Medium SUV's like the Jeep Compass. Small Economy cars include the Kia Picanto and Suzuki Ignis. If you are travelling in a small group, there are 7-seater people movers like the Proton Exota or similar.

Available extras include Excess Reduction Waiver (AU$550.00 for renters aged 25 and over) for all vehicle classes; also baby, child safety and booster seats, GPS navigation systems, additional drivers, delivery and collection. The fee for delivery at a chosen destination is AU$18.70, collections are charged at the same rate, provided delivery and collection are within a 10 km radius of Access depots. Additional drivers are charged at a one-off fee of AU$5.00 per day, capped at AU$27.50.

The minimum age for renters is 21. Drivers aged 21 to 24 are subject to an underage driver's fee of AU$16.50 per day, uncapped. Young drivers are also restricted to the vehicle class they can rent from.

If a renter pays by cash and doesn't have a credit card to secure the reservation, a AU$1,000.00 cash security bond is required, before the vehicle can be rented. Access Rent A Car does not allow one-way rentals.

Delivery and collection is made to/from hotels and motels, railway and bus terminals, airports and local businesses. Access Rent A Car has been in operation for over 20 years and is a wholly Southern Australia owned company.

If renters plan to take their Access vehicle to Kangaroo Island, then they can, provided they arrange for excess insurance, which is AU$3,300.00 for standard vehicles and AU$3,850.00 for large vehicles.
