NATIONAL Car Rental at Adelaide Airport

National's counter is located on the ground level of the terminal at Adelaide Airport. Staff also handle also car rental for partners Enterprise Rent A Car. The counter can be contacted on tel +61 8 8234 4822, open daily 6.30 am to 10.30 pm. It is located to the right of baggage claim carousel 4 in Arrivals. It's worth noting there are several car rental companies with desks in or near Adelaide Airport.

The minimum age for renters is 21 years. There is no maximum age restriction. Young drivers aged 21 to 24 must pay AU$15.00 per day. Under 25's are restricted to the type of vehicle they can rent. They must have held a driving license for a full year. They are also only able to reduce liability to AU$330.00.

For luxury, premium SUV, premium special and luxury SUV rental vehicles drivers must be at least 30 years old. Local renters must show two current forms of ID, both confirming their home address, for example a phone bill and rates bill, issued within the last two months prior to the rental date of the vehicle. A full driving license is required for all groups mentioned in this paragraph.

Payment are to be made by credit card, cash is not accepted. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are preferred. National Adelaide Airport does not charge credit card surcharges at this time. Union Pay Cards are only accepted if they carry a Visa or Mastercard logo. There is no refund of credit card surcharges in the event of a cancellation or early return.

National Adelaide Airport offers after-hour returns: there is a drop-box to the right of the Enterprise counter in the terminal.

Renters can also add 24/7 Premium Roadside Assistance which covers:

• changing a flat tire or installing a vehicle's spare tire
• fuel delivery up to 15 liters at no extra charge
• jump starting a vehicle after the battery's gone flat due to lights being left on
• lockout service, when keys get locked inside the vehicle
• AU$150 of transport or accommodation costs; expenses will be reimbursed when a National Adelaide Airport rental vehicle breaks down.

Cross Border Policy: National rental vehicles obtained in Southern Australia are not permitted to travel across to Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
