Adelaide Tourist Attractions

With a 3-day Adelaide Visitor Pass tourists can enjoy unlimited travel for just AU$25.00 per person, using buses, trams and trains. At the end of the 3-day period the Visitor Pass can be recharged with a regular Metro Card fare credit. Here is a small selection of what Adelaide has to offer:

Adelaide Oval Stadium Guided Tour

Some of the best 90 minutes you'll spend in Adelaide! Take a behind-the-scenes look through this amazing sports venue. You'll meet your tour guide at the Concierge Desk. Go through the Oval's South Gate entrance, just off War Memorial Drive to get there (for Adelaide Oval events, please visit https://www.adelaideoval.com.au).

Kayak Tour to Ships Graveyards and Dolphin Sanctuary

The guided tour follows the Ships Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail, where you'll learn a lot about southern Australia's maritime heritage, while spotting Port River dolphins, birds and other Sanctuary marine life. There are 20 shipwrecks along the trail. Suitable for children aged 10 and over. Your meeting point is at Garden Island Boat Ramp and Reserve, Lot 204, Garden Island Road, Gillman.

Monarto Safari Park Experience

Monarto Safari Park is one of the world's largest open-range zoos (it has more than 1,500 hectares). Over 50 different species of animals live here, including African lions, rhinos, giraffes and chimpanzees. Let the Zu-loop Shuttle take you through the Australian Savannah or stroll up to a viewing platform and enjoy exotic animal life spreading out before you. Open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm every day, last entry at 3.00 pm. Monarto Safari Park, Old Princes Highway, Monarto South SA 5254.

Mount Lofty, Adelaide Hills, Cheese, Wine and Chocolates

Located some 15 km east of Adelaide city center, Mount Lofty at Cleland offers panoramic views of the city, the plains to the west and Picadilly Valley to the east. Visit Hahndorf first for its cheese and artisan shops, then visit Beerenberg to taste lovely chutneys and hams. There are also numerous wineries around where you can enjoy tastings. If you can still stand after all that, you will enjoy a visit to Melba's Chocolate Factory for a quick, but sweet tour.

Adelaide's iconic Zoo

2,500 animals, 250 species, pandas galore! Opened in 1883, Australia's second-oldest zoo is a fantastic place to spend a day, especially when touring Adelaide with kids. Spanning more than 8 hectares, Adelaide Zoo is home to endangered native and exotic animals. Hippos, penguin and pelican feeds, children's zoo animal encounters and so much more. For the 3rd time Adelaide Zoo has been awarded the Best Tourism Attraction prize, and it remains a must-see on a visit to Adelaide. Open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm every day of the year.

If that's given you a taste of what to see, simply hire a car at Adelaide airport or buy an Adelaide Visitor Pass for Metro, buses and trams, https://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/Visitor-Pass-Campaign/Home.
