Buses from Adelaide Airport with Bus Routes and Times

Passengers arriving at Adelaide Airport can ask at the Terminal Information Booth, located in the centre of the ground floor, about ground transportation options. The Booth is open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm every day; staff can also assist with maps, brochures and other tourist information.

Airport City Shuttle Buses

They offer a door-to-door service from Adelaide International Airport to various hotels, motels and businesses in and around Adelaide. Passengers don't need to pre-book. On arrival they only need to go to the Terminal Information and Tourism Bookings Booth on the ground floor (opposite the escalator's bottom end) to secure their place.

Shuttles run ca every 30 minutes. Airport City Shuttle Buses operate from Monday to Friday from 6.30 am to 7.30 pm, on Saturdays from 6.30 am to 5.30 pm and the same hours on Sundays. Buses leave Adelaide Airport from Stop 10 in Airport Road, South East Side, near Lot 50 Sir Donald Bradman Drive. Jet Bus J2G goes to Glenelg and all stops in between including West Beach and Adelaide city center, J2 goes to Greenwith, the city center and the airport. Jet Express buses travel between ADL and the city of Adelaide.

Single trip and day trip tickets can be purchased from the driver on board these buses. During peak travelling times single trip tickets cost AU$5.60, off-peak they cost AU$3.70 per person. A day trip ticket costs AU$10.60 per person.

If you are planning to explore Adelaide for more than a day using public transport, it's worth paying AU$25.00 for a 3-day Visitor Pass which gives you unlimited travel on buses, trams and Metro trains. You can recharge the card at the end of the 3 days.

J1A buses begin at Tea Tree Plaza Interchange and take between 30 and 60 minutes to arrive at the airport, depending on the time of day and number of stops included in their journey.

If you are only travelling on public transport during certain times of the day, you could buy a Metro Card. During peak times (before 9.01 am and after 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday and all day Saturday), a Metro Card costs AU$3.77. For inter-peak travel (9.01 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday, all day Sunday and Public Holidays) you pay AU$2.07 for your Metro Card. A Cruise Ship Metro Card is also available. It costs AU$10.00 per person and allows you unlimited travel for a whole day.
